nine inch nails

I’ve neglected to post a comment about the Nine Inch Nails concert I (with Eric, Jeff, and Lee) attended last month due to a supreme lack of ability to begin the post. Every introduction I began with seemed lackluster and cliche.

At any rate, I feel I’ve found a unique and interesting introduction through procrastination, and therefore I report:

The NIN concert was fabulous. An unmatched energy pulsated from musicians to audience throughout the entire concert. We were on our feet the duration of the concert, and each song flowed into the next in a gradual crescendo to the peak of the performance, Head Like a Hole (the final song). Although my ears rang through the following day and the lighting effects flashed in my blinks with the echoes of the performance, I was overwhelmed with a renewed sense of interest in the group and its music.

Furthermore, people-watching was enthralling in itself. Four inch soles, a myriad of chains and metal loops (some attached to skin), and a sea of black clothing and makeup wandered the venue – the Clark County Amphitheater just west of Vancouver, Washington. Also, Bauhaus provided entertainment as an opener before NIN took the stage.

in time, you could develop a sense of community

I’ve mentioned before that we’re the black sheep of the neighborhood; perhaps, however, after cursing the neighborhood for over 4 years our lustrous ebony coat maybe be fading into a dark grey. I officially met the neighbor lady across the street after borrowing her lawn mower (again) and the Filipino wife next door said hi to me and commented on my fake pink tulips in the front yard.

All this after the cops arrived about a noise complaint a week ago.
